Addition Blocks is an addictive, fast-paced
game designed to increase addition speed and
accuracy (fluency).

Addition Blocks was created, designed,
developed, and written by Martin Esterman, a
former software engineer-turned math
teacher-turned app developer. Martin
taught all levels of math during an 11-year
teaching career, and always used games and
puzzles to enhance his classroom teaching.
Originally written as a Windows XP/7 game in
GameMaker 7, Addition Blocks became an iOS
and Android App in the late summer of 2012.
Addition Blocks is now available for Windows,
iOS, Android, Mac, Windows8 and Kindle
platforms.
Addition Blocks won the 2012 STEM National
Video Game Challenge (for the PBS Kids Prize,
Educator Entry) and has been showcased on the
PBS Kids Website, BrainPOP US and UK, ISTE
2012 and 2013 conferences, Channel 11Alive
(Atlanta, Ga) "Class Act" Winner, and the 2013
Georgia Conference for teachers of Mathematics.
